Start to Sleep

Is online sleep therapy more beneficial than therapy in practice?

I have been providing cognitive behavioural therapy – ACT insomnia both individually and in groups for years in my practice Huis Midori in Hasselt. For many years I also provided this in sleep labs.
I have designed Start to Sleep’s online sleep therapy in such a way that every component of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – ACT sessions is offered, this is now spread over 42 days. I will check your digital sleep diaries daily and you will follow the sleep training with personal guidance. During this personal guidance, I can immediately grab your attention if I notice that extra help is needed. We are in contact with each other by mail or telephone alongside the videos and the listening exercises…
Compare this to the face to face guidance, where I have to wait a week for your diary overview. Actually, I designed the online version because of some personal frustration caused by the face to face guidance. My patients are tired and exhausted and often miss the mark when remembering the correct and complete information about the therapy. Now I can intervene in a faster and more targeted way. I used to hear my patients often say ‘Annelies, when I’m in a panic I wish I could hear you explain everything again…’. so this prompted me to make video clips for them and now … finally a full platform.
Unlike the guidance in practice, I do not have a waiting list for the online guidance and we can start immediately. Another advantage is that you do not have to move, you can follow the guidance from home. The application will always be available for 3 months you can review the info, videos, diaries, listening exercises.
